Over the weekend, violence erupted at a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, when a car plowed into a group of counter-protesters who had gathered on the University of Virginia campus, killing one and injuring others. According to The Hill, Saturday’s “Unite the Right” rally on the UVA campus drew hordes of counter-protesters. Ultimately, the scene turned violent as a driver, later identified as 20-year-old James Alex Fields, drove his car into a group of them, then put the vehicle in reverse and stepped on the gas, sending bodies flying all around him.
