It has been an admittedly tumultuous week and a half for the Trump administration. After multiple recent position changes within President Donald Trump’s administration, John Kelly recently became his chief of staff, and it didn’t take long for him to drop a bomb, delivering Anthony Scaramucci an ultimatum.
The president appointed New York financier Anthony Scaramucci as his Communications Director, angering several members of his inner circle. Former Press Secretary Sean Spicer resigned his post immediately following the Scaramucci appointment, and Reince Priebus would be fired by Trump in short order after being outed as a leaker by Scaramucci in a profanity-laden rant to The New Yorker‘s Ryan Lizza.
It’s been a political soap opera to rival House of Cards. The drama continued on Monday when Trump removed Scaramucci as communications director little more than a week after naming him to the post.
